Our office has changed our hours of operation. Beginning July 6, 2010.

Please note the new times and let us know when you would like to come in!

Monday-Tuesday: 9am-5pm
Wednesday: 7am-3pm
Thursday: 7am-2pm
Friday: By Appointment

The school year is winding down, and award assemblies are ramping up. Gillespie Dentistry is sponsoring their annual $1000 scholarship award to a senior in the Vancouver area. All senior students are eligible, even if they are not currently patients! Simply fill out the application form and then tell us “What is Right With America!” Given the current economy, investing in education is a very smart idea. We support our youth and their desires to improve our country through their education. Hurry up and apply…deadline is June 1st, 2010! Good luck!

Dr. Steve helps out in Mexico

In January 2010 Dr. Steve Gillespie and his wife Connie traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for eight days with three other dentists from the Academy of LDS Dentists to provide humanitarian dental services to children in an orphanage and in rural communities. They treated nearly 300 children, between the ages of four and twelve, many of whom had previously never seen a dentist. In spite of very limited treatment circumstances they considered their experience very rewarding and fulfilling. Dr. Steve and Connie had previously served as missionaries for two years in a different part of Mexico so they were very comfortable with the food, culture and even the language. Dr. Steve looks forward to future opportunities to again provide service for under-served children with his two sons, Dr. Brad and Dr. Greg, both of whom are proficient in Spanish.

Local food banks report that donations have been down this year due to the recent economic downturn. In an effort to help as much as possible, we are asking for your contributions. We appreciate anything you can bring – one can or 10 bags full! Every little bit helps!

Gillespie Dentistry Scholarship Winner

For over 15 years, Gillespie Dentistry has sought to give back to our community by sponsoring an academic scholarship of $1000. This scholarship is available to all students and can be applied to the institution of their choice. The sole criteria for consideration of the scholarship is a 500 word essay on “What’s Right with America?” The student which best answers the question through their essay is awarded the scholarship. The award winner for 2009 is our very own patient, Leah Ogier, who graduated from Mtn. View High School. She is currently attending the University of Washington. Congratulations Leah!

You’ll never know how much we value each referral made by a loyal patient. Everyone wants to feel comfortable and confident when they visit a dental office and we do everything we can to make that happen.
